Alden Scholar Series

Proposals

Any SUNY Oneonta faculty member interested in presenting at the Alden Scholar Series is invited to submit a proposal to the Organizing Committee. To qualify, the book or book-length project must:

  • be scholarly in focus,
  • represent a significant contribution to the field, and
  • have been published in the last five years.

Speakers will be chosen on the basis of their proposals, which should address their book’s contribution to the field and its appeal to the wider campus community, including faculty, staff and students. Selected speakers will prepare a 45-minute talk with slides, and will have the option to co-create with the Special Collections Librarian a library exhibit in conjunction with their presentation.

To apply, please fill out the online Alden Scholar Series Application located below. For questions, contact Dr. Matthew Hendley at Matthew.Hendley@oneonta.edu
