The Milne Library Commitment to Health and Safety

The James M. Milne Library is committed to helping keep you and our staff safe. Protecting Others and Ourselves

  • The Library practices the campus Ethic of Care; face masks or protective coverings will be worn by visitors and staff.
  • Sanitation Stations that include hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes are available in public areas on each accessible floor.
  • Plexiglass barriers have been installed at all service points and directional signage will assist with traffic flow to minimize person-to-person contact.

On-site Services

  • Circulation Services.
  • Walk-in reference service.
  • Library Instruction.
  • Alden Room and Special Collections (by appointment).
  • Comfortable research and study spaces throughout 4 floors of the building during open hours, including study rooms for students and faculty carrels. 

Hybrid Services

Hybrid services feature online and on-site components. The library services that are hybrid will minimize face-to-face contact while providing students, faculty and staff with access to physical library collections:

  • Dual modality library instruction.
  • Interlibrary Loan is requested online; pick up location is inside the library.
