Monograph Allocation Formula Working Group

The monograph allocation formula working group met on Tuesday February 4  to discuss five new scenarios. Below is a summary of the action items arising from that meeting:   

• The working group recommends that only one of the scenarios be brought forward for discussion at the next meeting of the Library Committee.
• The working group recommends scenario 6 of the 10 scenarios created.   New allocation 6 new e-book circulation.xlsx
• The working group recommends that the formula be reviewed every three years with the exception of the percentage spend by departments.  The percentage spend of the department should be changed every year to reflect the spending of each department of the previous year.
• The working group recommends that the other scenarios 7, 8, 9, and 10 be saved for data input and analysis for future formula reviews. 
• The working group recommends that Library Committee representatives bring the recommended monograph allocation formula back to departments for feedback.
• The working group will work on a resolution to present to Library Committee after departments have provided feedback.
