Archives & Special Collections: Welcome

Virtual Service for Spring 2021

Protecting the health and safety of students, faculty, staff, and researchers is our top priority and guides our plans during this pandemic. 

Milne Library's Archives and Special Collections will offer virtual research assistance via email and/or virtual appointment.  Virtual instruction sessions and class "visits" to the Alden Room will be accommodated whenever possible.  

All services are contingent upon the availability of staffing.

Requesting Research Assistance

Please contact the Special Collections Librarian, Heather Stalter, if you are researching any aspect of the history of the College, New York State, or any of our other special collections.  

In your email, please include:

  • Your research topic
  • A description of the materials you are looking for
  • If you'd like to request an online consultation, please include three options for meeting days and times (Monday through Friday)

You will receive a response within one business day, confirming your request and online appointment date and time (if requested).  Appointments will be held virtually via Teams.    

Scheduling a Virtual Class

Virtual class tours of the Alden Room and instruction sessions focusing on particular special collections are a possibility given enough advance notice.  Please contact Heather Stalter with your ideas!
