Information Literacy and Library Instruction

Enrollment Directions

To enroll in the library's Information Literacy Self-Paced Modules, follow the directions below: 

  1. Log into myOneonta
  2. Click on the Brightspace Link
  3. On the Brightpsace Homepage, click on "Discover" in the red heading. 
  4. Select Information Literacy Self-Paced Module from the options available. If you do not see that in the list, use the search box to search for it. 
  5. Once you have clicked on the course, click the "Enroll in Course" button. 
  6. A message should pop up saying you are successfully enrolled. 
  7. Go back to your Brightspace Home page and you should now see Information Literacy Self-Paced Modules available.

Generating a Certificate

Your instructor may ask you to upload a certificate of completion to show you have completed the self-paced modules. Follow the directions below to generate your certificate: 

  1. Read, Watch, and Interact with all content under "Locate Information Effectively." 
  2. Complete the Final Assessment. 
  3. Score a 100 on the Final Assessment. You may take this assessment as many times as you need to achieve a 100. 
  4. Once those conditions are met, you can click on Course Tools, and then select Awards. 
  5. Click on the link for the certificate. 
  6. A pop up window should appear with an option to generate the certificate. Click on that link. 
  7. A certificate of Award should be generate for you to download and save.
