The library has created a self-paced information literacy module that helps students understand the first bullet point in the SUNY General Education Framework Information Literacy Competency: locate information effectively using tools appropriate to their need and discipline.
This module should take students approximately one hour to complete. Upon completion of the module and a 100% on the Final Assessment, a certificate will be autogenerated for students to download. An instructor could create an assignment in Brightspace where the student would then upload their certificate of completion to show they had completed the module.
