Finding Popular Sources

Please use the links on this page to access popular sources that you have access to through the Milne Library, that may help you with your assignments this term including The Hollywood Reporter and Variety. If you have any issues with accessing publications within these sources, please reach out to the library!

To access the Hollywood Reporter and Variety though the Milne Library, please follow these step-by-step instructions:

For the Hollywood Reporter:

  1. Start at the Catalog entry for the Hollywood Reporter which is available at this link.
  2. Navigate down the Catalog entry to "View Online," and select the first option for EBSCOhost Business source Complete. 
  3.  At this point, you can either search within the publication by using keywords in the search box, or you can navigate to the "All issues & articles" section of this page and choose the issue you would like to browse.
  4. Once you find a source that you would like to read in full text select "Access now (online full text)" and either read online or download the article to your computer. 

For Variety:

  1. Start at the Catalog entry for the Variety which is available at this link.
  2. Navigate down the Catalog entry to "View Online," and select the first option for EBSCOhost Associates Programs Source. 
  3.  At this point, you can either search within the publication by using keywords in the search box, or you can navigate to the "All issues & articles" section of this page and choose the issue you would like to browse.
  4. Once you find a source that you would like to read in full text select "Access now (online full text)" and either read online or download the article to your computer. 

News Sources: How to Access Using SUNY Oneonta Credentials

The first time you access the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, you will need to create an account which is associated with your SUNY Oneonta credentials. Instructions for creating these accounts can be found below. Once you have created these accounts, you can access the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal through the Milne Library's A-Z Database list or by using the links below.
