Finding Background Information
Included below are links to some of our online encyclopedias that could be helpful for doing background research on your topic. Be aware that while the information could be helpful in aiding you in initially understanding your topic and finding related keywords, these sources are likely going to provide you with tertiary or grey coverage of your topic. Be aware of what types of sources you are to use for an assignment, and when in doubt, ask your professor!

Credo is an online searchable reference collection of over 690 sources, including encyclopedias, dictionaries, biographies, and almanacs, powered by a network of cross-references that cut across topics, titles and publishers to provide answers in context. Reference sources also include images, sound files, animations, charts, maps, and other materials.
