Standard reference source for information across the disciplines.  Includes links to additional material in periodical articles and books, including primary sources.

Provides background information from many general and subject encyclopedias.

Gale Ebooks (Formerly Gale Virtual Reference Library)                                                   Under Databases on library website

A collection of full-text books, including reference books, covering many subjects.

CQ Researcher

Includes substantial overviews of timely topics accompanied by history, tables, bibliographies, and notes.

Opposing Viewpoints in Context 

Includes articles and topic overviews in full text on controversial topics.

Points of View Reference Center

Contains full-text essays on about 250 topics. Also includes political magazines, radio and TV transcripts, primary source documents, and reference books.

An online database of public opinion polls from 1986 to the present and more than 100 countries.  Includes

substantial overviews of timely topics accompanied by history, tables, bibliographies, and notes.
